Job description
Help create eco-friendly cardboard packaging in a full-time Folding Gluing Operator role in West Flanders. You’ll work in a production environment specializing in solid cardboard packaging, primarily for the food industry.
A role at the heart of production
Take responsibility during your shift for an automated folder-gluer machine, including its input and output systems.
What you’ll do
- Set up the machine for each production run using the order specifications, then make adjustments as production progresses.
- Carry out regular checks to keep output efficient and aligned with customer requirements, while minimizing waste.
- Clean your work area and perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Work with the technical team or supervisor to troubleshoot machine issues.
- Contribute with fellow operators to a safe, efficient workplace and ongoing improvements.

- Mechanical and technical basics are familiar territory for you, and you’re comfortable making sense of production specifications and detailed written or spoken instructions.
- Your attention to detail helps you keep quality, safety, order, and cleanliness firmly in view.
- You bring practical number skills, including basic multiplication and division, and feel comfortable with basic computer use and data entry.
- Standing for more than eight hours is something you can manage as part of your working day.
- You bring a positive, motivated team spirit; experience as an operator in a similar industry or on comparable machines is a welcome advantage.

What do we offer you?

Here’s what you can look forward to in the package:
- A gross starting wage of €18 per hour, stated as approximately €2,250 net per month; higher pay may be possible depending on your experience and skills.
- Where the work schedule qualifies, a shift bonus can add up to 12%. Meal vouchers may also be available, worth up to €8 per day worked; both depend on the employer and applicable schedule.
- Additional payments include a daily travel allowance based on distance and transport, plus an end-of-year bonus of approximately €1,900 net and holiday pay of approximately €3,500 net for a full year of work. Amounts depend on the period worked.
- After four weeks of work, up to €125 of travel costs to Belgium may be reimbursed. Furnished private accommodation is available for €110 per week, with utilities and unlimited internet included.
Personal guidance from a multilingual team and support with arrival and practical matters in Belgium are also provided.
